These Terms of Service govern your use of the Onito platform operated by Onito Ltd. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms.

The Service

Onito is an AI-powered customer assistant platform. Businesses provide a knowledge base of information about their services, and Onito uses that content to answer customer questions via WhatsApp, website chat widgets, and other supported channels.

Onito is not a replacement for professional, legal, medical, or other specialist advice. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the knowledge base content you provide.

Accounts

You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Please notify us immediately at chris@onito.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.

Knowledge Base

You retain ownership of all content you upload to your knowledge base. By providing content to Onito, you grant us a licence to process, store, and use that content solely for the purpose of operating your AI assistant.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of all knowledge base content and for ensuring you have the right to use any material you provide.

AI-Generated Responses

Onito generates responses automatically based on your knowledge base content. AI-generated responses may occasionally be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate. Onito does not guarantee the accuracy of any AI response.

You are responsible for monitoring the quality of responses and reviewing conversations in your dashboard. Onito is not liable for any loss, damage, or harm arising from AI-generated responses sent to your customers.

Pricing

Onito is currently in beta and free to use. When the beta period ends, the standard plan will be £49 per month with no setup fee. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any charges begin.

Payments are processed via Stripe. Subscriptions renew monthly and you may cancel at any time.

Data Protection

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Where you use Onito to process your customers' personal data, you act as the data controller and Onito acts as your data processor.

WhatsApp and Third-Party Platforms

Your use of WhatsApp and other messaging channels through Onito is subject to the terms and policies of those platforms. Onito is not responsible for changes, outages, or restrictions imposed by third-party providers.

Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Onito is not liable for interruptions, downtime, or service unavailability, whether planned or unplanned.

Limitation of Liability

The Onito platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Onito Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these terms is limited to the fees you have paid to Onito in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Intellectual Property

The Onito platform, brand, software, and all related intellectual property are owned by Onito Ltd. These terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the right to use the service as described herein.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or if required to do so by law.

Upon account closure, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will give business owners at least 30 days' notice by email before any material changes take effect. Continued use of Onito after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
